Some good mudflats are developing at the Glacier Ridge metro park
wetland; this morning, in addition to scads of mallards and red-winged
blackbirds, we saw killdeer, a couple of spotted sandpipers, a green
heron (doing some good fishing), and at least one Virginia rail
running around in the reeds.
