This morning I watched the the lake from my yard in North Parry, for a
couple hours in hopes of getting a flyby shorebird or two. It ended up
being very interesting with some good early June sightings. Probably the
best was a 3rd cycle GLAUCOUS GULL. The bird seemed in pretty decent
condition without a lot of feather wear as a lot of the gulls going by are.
I also had two BLACK TERNS fly by together. Other birds of note were osprey
and great egret. The terns were flying west, everything else east. What I
didn't see this morning were any shorebirds. I did make up for it by
getting the snowy plover and others at Conneaut this afternoon.
