Darlene led a Columbus Audubon field trip to Greenlawn Cemetery this morning. She asked me to report that she and her group of 8 participants found the owl (thanks to some fussing robins) in a big white oak, in the low branches over the road. The tree is across from the Huston mausoleum at the pit. It is the first Eastern Screech Owl she has seen there in years.

Greenlawn was otherwise quiet, although a belted kingfisher was fishing the pit. The usual breeders were present. They also banded tree swallows, and Darlene was excited to have gotten an adult male to band.
