Every year recently, the Committee on Classification and Nomenclature of the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU) has released its annual supplement to the AOU Check-list of North American Birds in the July issue of The Auk. This year's supplement has just appeared. Although it doesn't lump or split any Ohio birds, and doesn't even change the English names of any of them, it does result in a number of changes in scientific names ... and birders who have done a lot of west coast pelagic trips may have retroactively gained a lifer. I've posted a summary of the changes at this link: http://bit.ly/SFrgiw
