I was at Conneaut Harbor from 9:20-10:20 this morning (7/27). At the pulloff before the harbor, there was a single Greater Yellowlegs on the far bank foraging. When I got to the mudflat, I noticed the entire mudflat was dried up with no water in it. The only other shorebird present at the time was a single Sanderling on the beach. Later a flock of Semipalmated Sandpipers and Sanderlings flew in and were foraging on the beach. Before I had arrived, Bob Krajeski had a single WHIMBREL and 2 AMERICAN AVOCETS, but I could not relocate them. Here is the eBird checklist of a somewhat unproductive hour. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S11222397 Good Birding, Cole F.
