I was out prowling for shorebirds this evening at the Battelle Darby Metro
Park "Grain Elevator" wetlands (Map:
https://people.mbi.ohio-state.edu/hurtado.10/docs/battelle-darby-mp-wetlands.html)
and bumped into Dave & Emily Slager. After comparing notes, Dave pointed
out a Short-billed Dowitcher and a nearby singing Henslow's Sparrow that
I'd missed. The Henslow's was a state bird for me and I think a lifer for
Emily.

I had my recording gear on hand, and my son Alex strapped to my chest (not
ideal for looking through optics or recording birds!) but Emily and Dave
were kind enough to baby sit for a couple of minutes while I recorded the
Henslow's.

See the eBird checklist below for a list of shorebirds, and an audio clip
of the Henslow's Sparrow.
