If you don't have time to go to extreme NW or NE Ohio for shorebirds you might try LaDue Reservoir in Geauga County near SR44 and SE422, specifically Auburn Rd which runs parallel to 44 about 1 mile west, between Taylor Nay and Bartholomew roads. There are excellent mudflats and grass on both sides of the road. Stay behind the guardrails and you should be safe. A scope is helpful although I counted 20 Least SP's on the mud just 100 feet away. Pectoral, Solitary, one Spotted, one L Yellowlegs. I'm not the guy to positively I.D. other peeps but the habitat is right for them and NO DOGS or sun worshipers!!
