I commend Haans for having the courage to ignore PC in this situation and "tell it like it is." All he is asking is that these organizations simply come out publicly against Scotts -- the company that has long led the charge for sterile, wildlife-deadly lawns grown with (highly profitable) pesticides and chemical fertilizers -- and recommend a boycott of their products. This would not take away valuable resources from these orgs unquestionably important projects. I must add that it is stunning that Scott's had the gall to market bird feed to attract birds to yards that they have been poisoning and then sell pesticide-contaminated feed to boot. Good birding.
