While filling my feeders and taking the dog out this morning, I had 2 red
crossbills in my North Perry yard.  The birds were flying from one conifer
to another.  Unfortunately it is a terrible year for cones here.  The birds
never came low and stayed at treetop height.  They eventually headed to the
west.  I have had very little activity at my feeders thus far.  Maybe if
they were active the crossbills may have come down to check things out.
There have been a few single warblers flying over also.
