A spur of the moment trip to Ashtabula Co. this afternoon turned up some good birds.  At Conneaut harbor: bald eagle, semipalmated plovers, sanderlings, semipalmated sandpipers, buff-breasted sandpiper, 1250 ring-billed/herring gulls, lesser black-backed gull, Caspian terns, and belted kingfisher.  Along SR 7 I saw 3 Am. kestrels in Richmond and Andover Twps.  At Pymatuning L: semipalmated plovers, greater yellowlegs, lesser yellowlegs, solitary sandpipers, sanderling, semipalmated sandpipers, least sandpipers, and a Baird's sandpiper.  I was surprised how quickly the weather became "too nice" today.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
