I watched the lake this morning not expecting much. I was wrong, it was actually pretty good. The big thing were the swallows. I ended up seeing 18 cave swallows and had an additional 16 unidentified that were more than likely also caves. Also of note was an adult little gull. There started off being a handful of Bonaparte's feeding offshore. More birds continued to join them until there were several hundred feeding. The little gull was in this flock. Around 9:30 the flock broke up and before too long there were only about 50 left.
