One of things I often look at are streamlines. These are the movement of winds around the pressure systems. Saturday-Monday the lines went directly from Hudson and James bay straight south to Ohio. From Ohio they went south-southeast out to the East Coast. It gave a good indication on why birds were showing up on the eastern Great Lakes. The current map is very interesting. If you look at the east side of Ohio all of the streamlines are converging on the Low. The low is not that far from Pymatuning Reservoir. The low is predicted to go north from there. This should put it over the east end of Lake Erie. I would think that Pymatuning and Lake Erie may be interesting tomorrow morning. Especially if there are birds still associated with the center of the low. If anyone is out in these areas please pass along any good sightings as there will be quite a few people out. http://asp1.sbs.ohio-state.edu/imagel.php?dispimg=surface/streamlines <http://asp1.sbs.ohio-state.edu/imagel.php?dispimg=surface/streamlines&imgna me=Streamlines> &imgname=Streamlines John Pogacnik 4765 Lockwood Road Perry, OH 44081 ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
