At least two NELSON’S SPARROWS continue at Metzger Mar
Hi all,

At least two NELSON’S SPARROWS continue at Metzger Marsh (Lucas Co.) as of 11:30am today. The area is reachable by parking after the first 90˚ turn and walk the trail east all the way to the end…literally where the ground begins to get too wet to walk in normal shoes (and there’s a tiny island with one small tree on right). They are hanging out on the left side of the trail (north) and were responsive to pishing. I didn’t search for the LeConte’s but I’m sure they are still around as well. KEEP IN MIND, duck season starts tomorrow so today might be your only chance to walk out into Metzger. I've created a map showing the locations for each sparrow here (http://rarebird.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=6893&title=nelsons-sparrows-continue-metzger-map)
