There are a lot of crossbills again moving this morning along the lakeshore in North Perry, Lake County.  It seems if you have some conifers around they will stop briefly.  Otherwise they are quickly moving through.

A lot of birders have smart phones with bird apps.  A lot of these apps have a nice selection of calls.  These are a great place to listen to calls.  I would also familiarize your self with Bohemian waxwing and pine grosbeak flight calls, just in case.  Places like the Lake Metroparks' Lake Erie Bluffs that have a lot of crabs and other fruit will be worth checking.
