I finally got to the Cleveland lakefront to see the Ross's Goose this morning http:[log in to unmask] I birded from E.9th St to E.55th. Only raptor at Burke Airport was a Northern Harrier way east of the runway. Cleveland Electric Power had a Mockingbird that was enjoyable to watch as it looked for something to eat (kept turning its head sideways and looking at the ground from atop the block wall) and a nice Kestrel on top of a pole. A few ducks at E.55th including Shovelers, Gadwall, Mallards and the usual Coots. Lots of Ring-billed Gulls near the stadium and along the Cuyahoga River - more than I cared to count! Merry Christmas and Happy Birding, Matt Valencic Chagrin Falls, OH (Geauga County) P.S. Just to be a little devilish I included a picture of last year's Snoss's Goose from Ashtabula to compare to today's Ross's Goose. Remember the conversation that bird generated? ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
