While driving on Winnimac Pike from Larue to SR 739 in Union Co. I spied a couple of flocks of the usual Horned Larks. Mixed in with those were what appears to be Longspurs, however, I don't know which ones. They appear darker...ruffier...than the Laplands that I photographed last year. So I was wondering if they could be Smith's...or something else all together. If anyone is over that way, they are hanging out near the new pig barn. In the union county part of Winnimac Pike.

Thanks,

Steve J.
