After an hour of sitting in the rain, at 2:15PM, this afternoon, Thursday, Denise spotted an adult Golden Eagle soaring above the far ridge. The location was 0.5 mile east of the main parking lot for The Wilds on Internatioal Drive. We were looking to the north, parked along the road near the high point, just before a green circular tank on the left side. Our only other bird sightings have been two Turkey Vultures soaring, three American Kestrels, and two Canada Geese. The location is in extreme southeastern Muskingum County. The Golden Eagle is species #293 in Ohio for 2012 for Denise and I. It is now 3:16PM and the rain contiues.
