What appears to be the same male Hoary Redpoll found in December was relocated late this afternoon along Valley Road at LaDue Reservoir, Geagua County. Ronnie Macko refound the continuing flock of around 40 Common Redpolls in a patch of alders that juts out on a peninsula about 30 yards into the reservoir and eventually Ben Morrison, Greg Miller, & I were able to pick out the Hoary feeding among them. This is less than a mile NE of the boathouse patch of alders where the bird was first located in December. If the Redpoll flock is not by the boathouse, turn right out of the lane and head NE on Valley Road which runs along the reservoir and carefully search the alders between the road and the reservoir.
