Sorry if this is a duplicate post, sending from mobile. --- I wanted to make the most of my time home in Ohio for the holidays, and I was lucky to see some cool winter birds. Yesterday, after seeing the previously reported crossbills in Cleveland, we found a light phase Rough-legged hawk and a Northern Shrike at Mosquito Creek W.A. in Trumbull county. This morning, there was a Merlin perched atop a billboard on rt. 224 in Boardman across from the Blue Wolf Tavern. It was there for at least an hour. I'll try to post some pics on the Birding Ohio FB page later tonight. A good start to the new year. -John Guy Petruzzi -- www.johnguypetruzzi.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
