High water levels along the Olentangy River have brought the shoreline back up near the "old" Black-crowned Night Heron roost near OSU's campus. Today, on my drive into campus, despite the construction work near the site, there was 1 adult BCNH visible to the north from the John Herrick Dr. bridge. More birds could be present, and it/they will likely be there all day. For those of you visiting the OSU area with any regularity, high water levels along the river might be a good sign to check this spot for roosting birds.
