I received a phone message an hour ago from experienced birders, Pat Brannon
and her friend Nancy Ipson. They are birding at Summit Lake in Akron and are
on the residential side of the lake, opposite the tow path. They are pretty
sure they saw an Eurasian Widgeon and would like for other local birders to
watch for it and let us all know if its spotted again.

They are also seeing:
American Widgeons
Ring Necks
Buffleheads
Hooded Mergansers
Northern Shovelers
Coots
Red Heads
Golden Eye
Ruddy Duck

Not much to see here today at Chippewa Lake. The lake is frozen with the icy
wind makes it almost impossible to see through my binocularsŠat least here
on the residential side of the lake.
