The colder temperatures with ice forming along the shoreline brought more 
waterfowl movement today on South Bass Island.
Terwilliger's Pond was frozen today but there were the following waterfowl 
in Fishery Bay
1 Great Blue Heron
4 Double-crested Cormorants
4 Red-Breasted Mergansers
2 Lesser Scaup
20 Common Goldeneye
50 Mallards
5 Canada Geese

At Bathing Beach
100 Redhead
20 Lesser Scaup
200 Common Goldeneye further out


At Scheeff East Point, approx #'s
600 Common Goldeneye
20 Lesser Scaup
4 Red-breasted Mergansers
50 Ring-billed Gulls
20 Herring Gulls
15 Greater Black-backed Gulls
5 Bufflehead
20 Mallards
10 Canada Geese
130 Tundra Swans

At the Lime Kiln dock, there was a flock of Bonaparte's Gulls on the water 
strafed by what appeared to be a Cooper's Hawk that flew over and landed on 
a tree on shore.
