On Sunday afternoon, I watched a N. Harrier land on the ground near a wet area. It stayed on the ground. It was apparently hunting there. Every few minutes it would run quickly about 3 or 4 feet and then look around and listen for a minute or so. It did this for at least the 10 minutes that I was watching it. I have never seen this behavior in a hawk before. Has anybody else? ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
