Oops, forgot to mention the 12-15 tree swallows darting over the water - also at the west end of LaDue where said waterfowl were found. To view the western most reach of LaDue, park at the small boat put-in on the south end of the Auburn Rd. causeway, carefully cross Auburn Rd overstepping the guardrail for viewing access on the west side of the road. There was 3 bufflehead drakes looking east from Auburn Rd. > > Stopping along the Rt. 44 causeway, there was (again rough count in my hurry): about 28 scaup (appeared to be lesser), 14 redhead and 1 ring-necked duck; turkey vultures aloft. > > FYI, there has been 3-4 shoveller drakes on the marsh at the SE corner of Pekin & Auburn Rd (Newbury Twp). this past week. Viewing of this area most safely done from Pekin. > ______________________________________________________________________ > > Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society. > Our thanks to Miami University for hosting this mailing list. > Additional discussions can be found in our forums, at www.ohiobirds.org/forum/. > > You can join or leave the list, or change your options, at: > http://listserv.muohio.edu/scripts/wa.exe?LIST=OHIO-BIRDS > Send questions or comments about the list to: [log in to unmask] ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
