Reports like these are very upsetting. Although to me they are upsetting not so much because birders can't see the bird. But because the Ruff was chased off ground where it had suitable food, safety, rest. While some would shrug and say it probably found equally good habitat somewhere out of sight, we can't know that and why should the bird have to waste energy running from people? The bird is more important than the list. I hope it can find a safe place to refuel and get to back to others of its own kind somehow.
