Hi- I live in Franklin County, and each morning I am still waking up to the voices of at least a couple of dozen Pine Siskins. In the late fall of 2011, we had roughly 6 birds at our feeder for one week and then they were gone. This year, starting in fall 2012, we have had a flock of 50 or more in our trees at once! They don't seem to be too eager to head to points north yet. I am in no hurry for them to leave, I love waking up with them in the mornings, but shouldn't they be getting a move on by now? Are we hurting or helping them by keeping our feeders filled with seed they are devouring daily? I am seeing wildflowers blooming together that are usually weeks to months apart as well. Isn't it unusual for their time shares to overlap?
