We found(not that they were lost) 2 Wilson's Snipe on the back end of the
trail among a group of Blue-winged Teal working the mud and tall grass.
The Bald Eagle and the Great Horned Owls were on their respective nests.
We spotted one shore bird, what I believe was a Pectoral Sandpiper in the
tall grass south on the mound. It flew out too fast to photograph.

Among the other ducks, Green-winged Teal, Gadwall, Lesser Scaup, Mallard,
Northern Shoveler and American Wigeon.

The Pileated Woodpeckers could easily be seen at the entrance to the
woodland trail working along the dead wood on the ground.
