I was at Villa Angela/Wildwood today. I ran into Jeanne Hrenko at Villa Angela who said there were many birds at Sims Park in Euclid so I went there after Villa Angela. I had 10 new birds this spring at all the parks today, Flickers, Hermit Thrush, Tree Swallow, Creeper, Bluebird, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Field and Fox Sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Brown Thrasher. Here is some of what I saw today. Villa Angela/Wildwood 10am to 12:20pm Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers 7-8 Northern Flickers 14 Eastern Phoebe 3 Tree Swallow 1 Brown Creeper 6 Golden-crowned Kinglets 10 Eastern Bluebird 1 (field near library) Hermit Thrush 22+ (everywhere further into Villa Angela) American Robins - many Yellow-rumped Warblers 2 Eastern Towhee 2 American Tree Sparrow 1 Field Sparrow 3 Fox Sparrows 14 Song Sparrows 30 Dark-eyed Junco 6 Sims Park, Euclid 1:15pm to after 3:15pm Bonaparte's Gulls 55-60 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers 10+ they were everywhere & very vocal Hairy Woodpecker 1 Northern Flickers 6 Golden-crowned Kinglets 7-8 Ruby-crowned Kinglets 2 Hermit Thrush 15 American Robins - many Brown Thrasher 1 (west end of park) Yellow-rumped Warblers 5-6 Eastern Towhee 1 Fox Sparrows 9 Song sparrows 20 Dark-eyed Junco 12+ (more numerous here than Villa Angela) Double-crested Cormorants 11 Nancy Anderson Richmond Hts, OH http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancy_a/ ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
