Sorry about the abbreviated post. This morning at Shawnee Praire Preserve on 502 just west of Greenville, there was a flyover of a mature Bald Eagle. As far as I know there is no nest closer than Grand Lake St. Marys. Highlights of the walk were female Redstart house wren bluebirds Great Crested Flycatcher Redheaded Woodpecker After the walk, I worked with the Olde Thyme Gardeners replanting the herbs in the period garden for the log house. On my walk back to my car, I was dive-bombed by an angry female bluebird. It dived from the top of a spruce tree(40 feet tall) right down at my head. What an experience.! ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
