My ride on the Valley Parkway from Rockhill Rd. to the Nature Center was punctuated with frequent stops to view and listen to calling migrants. Black-throated Green Warblers were seemingly everywhere. Highlights are below: Yellow-throated Vireo Warbling Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Cliff Swallow Blue-winged Warbler Black-and-white Warbler American Redstart Bay-breasted Warbler Blackburnian Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Scarlet Tanager Orchard Oriole Baltimore Oriole These were all FOS birds. The most productive area was the marshy area between Lorain Rd. and Puritas. Many warblers were seen there. The back yard in N. Olmsted produced some great birds as well, including a nice looking Hooded Warbler, a FOS male RT Hummer, and 4 Purple Finches. See you on the trails, Chris Pierce N.
