Subject: [Ohio-birds] common nighthawk moreland hills, ohio

Heard, then saw high above my house in Moreland Hills a common nighthawk
yesterday evening.  I don't know how rare this is so I am posting it.
In regard to the ongoing discussion about using this list-serve, it has
been a tremendous asset to me.  The only reason I saw the nighthawk was
that some have been mentioned recently on the list serve, and when I heard
this strange sound high above me and I saw this bird, at first I thought
it was a hawk, but because of the list serve I remembered about common
nighthawk, I played its song on my sibly's iphone app and confirmed a new
Ohio and new house bird for me!  So, I am strongly in favor of maintaining
the list-serve as a primary resource for Ohio birders!  I thank all of you
who post on it!
