On our trip to Ottawa NWR today, we found the biggest concentration of shorebirds on Bodi Road near where it intersects Lemon Rd. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S14642222 The land between Lemon and Bodi Roads on OH-2 is now named by Ottawa NWR as the Klontz Unit. The shorebirds were in an agricultural field where Bodi Rd. turns west to intersect with Lemon Rd. We also visited Park Colony Rd. and found many Killdeer and a few Least Sandpipers: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S14642220 This agricultural field on Park Colony is being worked on to provide better drainage, so it may not be as good for shorebirds in the future.
