I birded at Conneaut harbor today from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.  I tallied 11 species of shorebirds.  Common terns put on a good show too.  The day's highlights: 6 blue-winged teal, double-crested cormorants, black-crowned night-heron, bald eagle, black-bellied plover, semipalmated plovers, lesser yellowlegs, ruddy turnstone, sanderlings, semipalmated sandpipers, least sandpipers, 2 Baird's sandpipers, pectoral sandpiper, short-billed dowitchers, Bonaparte's gulls, 16 Caspian terns, 50+ common terns, Forster's tern, and belted kingfishers.  A single barn swallow was the lone passerine on a rainy day..........Craig Holt, Lowellville
