Frank Frick found a pair of Buff Breasted Sandpipers at the soil bank at Lost Bridge this morning. The post was on Cincinnati Birds and I did not see it until 6:30 PM. I got there at 7PM and the birds were still present. Habitat is perfect, but drying rapidly. Also of note, I spotted a bird I believe was a juvenile Little Blue Heron at Ceasars Creek Lake on Friday. It was flying towards the Dam while I was on the 73 Causeway. However, I lost the bird and could not relocate. I also had an adult Little Blue Heron flying the East Fork of the Little Miami at the Terrace Park Country Club on Round Bottom Road around 3PM today. This area from the mouth of the Little Miami up to Stonelick Lake has always produced these birds in years past. I drove the river for an hour, looking up and down at pull offs, but could not relocate it either. But for those venturing in these areas and elsewhere be on the look out. Good birding, DinoC. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
