I had a Golden-winged Warbler in a small migrant flock on the east end of the Coyote Trail in Highbanks MetroPark this afternoon. This area of scrubby forest, which sits at the eastern end of the main ravine (the one adjacent to the Nature Center), has consistently had migrant flocks over the past 2 weeks. Other birds in the area included E.Wood Pewees (6+) Red-eyed Vireos 3 Swainson's Thrushes (2) Magnolia Warblers (2) Black-thr.Green Warbler Ovenbird American Redstarts (3) as well as quite a few of the resident woodpeckers and flock birds. It's a neat area that deserves regular checking during Fall migration. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
