Clear Creek was quite lively at times this AM. A bit too lively with large mixed flocks moving quickly thru the thick foilage. Much chasing & bill-snapping. I was tipped off to the flocks by v vocal Wht-breasted Nuthatches. I'm sure I missed a few species. Most interesting to me was what was singing in mid-sept: White-Eyed Vireo, Hooded Warbler, Com Yellowthrt along w/Carolina Wren. Warblers: Am Redstart (incl a couple males) Tennessee (lots) Magnolia Cape May Blk-throated Green (also good nos) Blackpoll Bay-breasted Black & White Hooded Com Yellowthroat N Parula Chestnut-sided Vireos: White-eyed Red-eyed Warbling Brown Thrasher Catbird Downy Hairy Red-bellied Pileated E Towhee Carolina wren House Wren E Wood Pewee (calling & seen) Peggy Wang Lancaster Sent from my iPhone ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
