While we are on the topic of Chimney Swifts. I was at Indigo Lake in CVNP Sunday around 5 p.m. There were about 20 Ch. Swifts flying back and forth over the lake. There were a bunch of gnats also. probably what they were hunting. Did not see much else. small flock of robins, blue jays, red-bellied woodpecker, pileated woodpecker, hairy woodpecker.
