Clara Cooper-Mullin and I visited Hoover Reservoir late this afternoon. The reservoir was mostly devoid of bird life, but a nice variety of water birds were present at Oxbow Road. The highlight was 2 Red-necked Grebes in the cove on the south side of the road. Both were in transitional plumage, with rusty necks and white cheeks still present. See the eBird checklist below for additional details and a map. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S15735428 Good birding, Alex Champagne ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
