I am no expert, but that wouldn't be too far out of the range of the eagles seen around Hampton Hills park near the Cuyahoga. ________________________________ From: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Tuesday, November 26, 2013 3:38 PM Subject: [Ohio-birds] RFI: SUMMIT CO. Bald Eagle Barberton Reservoir? Sightings? Nest possible? My friend just told me she followed a bald eagle south down Rt 21 yesterday north of Minor Road. This is right at headwaters of Barberton Reservoir. And it *is* breeding season, right? Just wondered... I have seen ospreys at the reservoir many times and know they fish here. I am 3 miles north of the reservoir and ospreys have attempted nesting the last 2 years on a cell tower within sight from my yard, and I've seen them carrying fish from the direction of the reservoir. Why not an eagle!?!? Has anyone seen or know of an eagle in the area or whether a nest is suspected or confirmed? That would be a most awesome yard bird. :-D Karen Gray Copley ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
