Right on cue - heading north on I-71 at mile marker 216 (just south of Medina) we again spotted the leucistic Red-tailed Hawk. This bird is almost all white. We saw it perched on the east side of I-71 and then watched it fly across the highway to the west side. In flight we saw a few dark feathers on the body. There is no red in the upper tail. Very striking bird! It flew before we could photograph it. Be assured that this is a hawk and not a Snowy Owl!!!!
