Was out with my wife this afternoon to try out my spotting scope on some far away waterfowl.  While going between ponds, we saw what at first just looked like Redtails, then when we got closer, were definitely Short Eared Owls.  The other species of note were 150 Trumpeter Swans, it threw a red flag with BirdLog due to amount. But they were thick in the big refuge ponds, and still coming in when we left.
