We've had the pleasure of a northern mockingbird in our garden for some time now. This week we noticed no visitors to our feeders. Then we discovered the mockingbird was attacking any bird that tried to visit our feeders. This included a red-bellied woodpecker and a few blue jays. One poor mourning dove lost a number of its tail feathers, being a little on the slow side. We have a few junipers and evergreens with berries. Has anyone ever seen this territorial aggressiveness before? photos posted... www.burdzbuttz.blogspot.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
