Hi all,

Rick Counts relays a new Snowy Owl sighting, of a bird spotted around 4:30 this afternoon in Wyandot County. It was seen and photographed sitting on a barn along State Rte. 53, one-half mile west of Upper Sandusky. Take 53 west out of town from State Rte. 67 and start watching for big white lumps. This general area – Killdeer Plains is not far away – has traditionally been a good spot for owls during irruptions.

By my reckoning, we’re now at 84 Snowy Owls in 34 counties, and I am grateful for any new reports. I keep an updated map of sightings here: http://jimmccormac.blogspot.com/2013/12/another-snowy-owl-update.html
