We were doing the Dayton Audubon Christmas Bird Count this AM and there is a ROSS'S GOOSE with 135 Canada Geese on the pond adjacent to the Wright State University Nutter Center. The Ross's was seen well and close, first on the grass between the pond and the parking lot, then on the water. We had a 20-60x scope, but no camera. Goose is about half the size of the accompanying Canada geese; white with black primaries; pure-white rounded head; stubby pink bill with grayish base and no trace of a "grin" patch. Goose was still there when we checked at 1PM The pond is located between Colonel Glenn Hwy. and the WSU Nutter center near Fairborn in Greene County. Going back for pictures!
