We hope you will brave the cold and come hear an excellent program on Barn
Owls by Ken Duren. Members and guests welcome! See you this Tuesday!

Darlene Sillick

Columbus Audubon, co-program chair

Please join us Tuesday, January 28th as Kenneth Duren of the Ohio Division
of Wildlife fills us in on the recent history of these "ghosts of the
night." Once nearly extirpated from Ohio, the Barn Owl has staged a
remarkable comeback. A conservation victory? Ken will tell us all about it.

7:00 - 7:15 pm: CA Short Program: You've heard that Peregrine Falcons nest
on top of several buildings in downtown Columbus. Maybe you've seen videos
of falcons at nest boxes, or even seen these incredible birds swooping over
the city. Karen Norris, Wildlife Communications Specialist with the Ohio
Division of Wildlife, will tell us about Peregrine Falcons in Ohio.

7:15 - 7:30 pm: Social time and refreshments and be sure to take the bird
quiz and be in a drawing for a special prize

7:30 - 9:00 pm: Main program, door prizes

Columbus Audubon public programs are free and open to the public. All
programs are held at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center 505 West Whittier
St in the Scioto-Audubon Metro Park on the Whittier Peninsula.
