Hi Folks,

I apologize for this late posting, but this was the first chance I had to share this information.

I visited the Wayne County Airport yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon, and hung around for a couple of hours in hopes of getting a good look at the Snowy Owl that's been reported from there.

The bird pretty much hung out in the ag field just south of the airport off of Honeytown Rd., from around 2:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

I ran into another birder who showed me a photo of another Snowy Owl that he had learned about from a local woman. He said the bird had been perched on a pole along the road. He found it along Fulton Rd. between Honeytown and Apple Creek Rds., close to the intersection of Fulton & Eby Rds. https:[log in to unmask],-81.8605511,15z He said that he watched owl for a little while until a large semi-truck came speeding by and spooked the bird.

So there are potentially two Snowy Owls, in relatively close proximity, to search for if you head to Wayne County.

Thanks,

Casey Tucker
