Yesterday I saw a male and female Eastern Towhees in the bushes where the
Valley Bridle Trail meets Stanford Road (north of the Stanford House).

There were still some diving ducks in the Cuyahoga River including Common
and Red-Breasted Mergansers, and a Lesser Scaup. These ducks were just south
of Vaughn Road/Red Lock. There aren't many places for the ducks to rest now
that the big areas of ice are gone. The river is running fast and deep after
the thaw.

I heard a number of titmice singing. And, I saw one white-breasted nuthatch
chasing another one and fanning out its tail. I'm guessing that fanning
behavior is courting.
