Everything is much the same as yesterday, except we added a Canvas-back, Ring-neck and Ruddy Ducks to the list. I had a report of another Snow Goose sighting...this time just one. List of our sightings below. Here is a link to my picture of the Snow Geese I got yesterday.: http://www.sjlarue.com/p367248214 And one to one of the many Tundra Swans (so many that eBird hit a count red flag...:-D ): http://www.sjlarue.com/p171978430 Ice report...duck ponds along Herr and SR95 are pretty much thawed...still a little ice but it is opening. Field puddles are wet and draining. Main containment ponds everywhere else are still icy...so ducks are holding in the pond along Herr Rd and 95 and in the fields until more open up. God bless and happy birding! Steve J. Observer: Steven Jones 2014-03-10 14:30 Big Island Wildlife Area--Herr Rd. Protocol: Traveling 10 Miles 30 Minutes Observers: 2 All birds reported?
