Two males and a female in the area of the vernal pools at noon today. They foraged on the ground flipping leaves, called as they flew up into a tree, then sang for a few minutes and moved on. Nice to listen to the song without the distraction of red-winged blackbirds and common grackles in the mix.
Two Eastern Phoebes in the same area. Louisiana Waterthrush heard only. It flew deep into the woods. A lone tree swallow sat on a nest box.
