Hi Paul et al, I'm sitting in the Columbus airport headed back west, but on the way here had a very nice stop at Buck Creek State Park near Springfield (Clark County). Loads of Palm (12+) and Myrtle Warblers (15+), Black-throated Green (6+), Prothonotary, Blue-winged, Yellow, Prairie, and a female Black-throated Blue Warbler, which was flagged by ebird (early, I assume; I got some pix). White-eyed Vireo, and a Merlin too. This was all along the Lakeside Trail at the campground, along the north side. Light drizzle and gray skies, but lots of birds. I wish I'd had more time to explore the area, and I'd write more but my plane is boarding! checklist here: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S18067916 Andrew -- Andrew Core Tucson, AZ On Fri, Apr 25, 2014 at 8:37 AM, Paul Hurtado <[log in to unmask]>wrote: > I noticed on this morning's NEXRAD radar ( > > http://www.pauljhurtado.com/US_Composite_Radar/2014-4-24/animated_sunrise.html > ) > that the storm passed into Ohio just as night migrants were landing around > sunrise. > > If went birding at your local migrant traps despite the wet weather, did > you find anything new?
